Barry Millay
Barry Millay is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 2020 Companies. Since founding the company with Bill Rowland in 2000, Mr. Millay has led 2020 to become the premier provider of high-quality professional marketing and contracting services to the telecommunications, cable and energy industries.
In 1990, Mr. Millay founded 2020 CableVision, the predecessor to 2020 Companies. After negotiating with the top 10 cable TV operators to outsource their door-to-door sales and non-subscriber acquisition campaigns to his company, Mr. Millay trained his sales force on the proven marketing and sales techniques he had developed. The company’s ability to deliver impressive results for its clients led to the award of more than 40 national campaigns over a five-year period and eventually to more lucrative opportunities when the industry expanded into video, voice and data sales.
In 2000, through the formation of 2020 Companies, Mr. Millay helped lead the company’s expansion into the telecom and energy industries. And in 2002, after documenting, demonstrating and duplicating successful marketing strategies and sales techniques in the residential, commercial and industrial markets, Mr. Millay began transitioning 2020’s sales and marketing management responsibilities to Bill Rowland and Jason Green, in order to focus more of his efforts on the company’s strategic financial management.
Under Mr. Millay’s leadership, 2020 has grown exponentially by developing and refining an innovative model for success in direct marketing and proving to its growing client base that it can deliver outstanding results on its direct sales and marketing campaigns. Additionally, Mr. Millay has been instrumental in leading 2020’s sustained effort to innovate, calculate and conquer risks and drive all employees to push themselves beyond their comfort zones for their own benefit and for that of the company’s clients.
Continually driven by the opportunity to help employees succeed, Mr. Millay continues to play a critical role in growing, developing and improving 2020 Companies. Mr. Millay holds an associate degree from Brescia College in specialized business, having majored in accounting and minored in English.
Bill Rowland
William S. Rowland is President of 2020 Companies. His current role is to increase revenue by recruiting new management talent, and motivating our management teams and the national sales force to continually improve its performance and service to our clients. He also negotiates new contracts, helps manage existing contracts, and helps develop and protect our corporate culture. Bill manages and oversees deployment and internal market share, creates new divisions, diversifies our portfolio business, and insures that we can serve our clients in new and additional ways. In addition, Bill teaches success principles to our people internally.
Bill Rowland joined 2020 Companies in 2000. When Bill came to 2020, we were an approximately $2 million per year company. Bill brought on new contracts through his industry contacts like Verizon, ATT and BellSouth, and through personal recruiting, he brought on many top leaders, including President Jay Green, Executive Vice President Daniel Rowland, and Senior Vice President Steve Peters as well as many of our other top leaders. The combination of Bill’s efforts in these two areas has enabled Bill to help the company, under his leadership, multiply its revenue by one hundred times, as our prospective revenue for 2008 will be over $200 million. Most importantly, Bill has helped create a family-based corporate culture with emphasis on character with our employees. We at 2020 believe that great people make great employees. One of Bill’s favorite quotes is “If you focus on who you are, what you become will take care of itself.”
Before Bill joined 2020, he worked at American Business Network, managing and developing the sales force responsible for 90% of the nationwide revenue. During that time, he developed and changed the way the dry cleaning industry builds and develops home pick-up and delivery routes.
Bill attended Howland High School in Columbus, Ohio, and Rhema Bible College, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bill’s greatest joy is practicing and teaching the principle of Human Resource Development. A great man once said, “If you see people and treat them as what they are, you disempower them to become all they can be, but if you see them and treat them as what they could be, you help them reach their full potential.” Helping change someone’s life for the better is and will be Bill’s greatest joy. At 2020, he has this opportunity every day.
As Bill travels around the country to visit our sales offices, he constantly hears from sales reps and from employees at every level how working at 2020 Companies has changed their lives for the better. As one of the company owners, Bill is truly gratified that his company has helped so many people succeed who might otherwise never have had an opportunity to better themselves spiritually, economically, mentally and emotionally.
Jason Green
Mr. Green joined 2020 in 2004 and helped to recruit and develop the management team that has been instrumental in growing the company’s revenues more than tenfold by aggressively pursuing new contracts, providing excellent service to existing clients, expanding service offerings, monitoring the performance of upper management’s teams, assisting in the recruitment of new sales representatives and motivating 2020’s leadership to deliver excellence in every way.
Prior to 2020, Mr. Green was Senior Vice President at Encore Marketing Group, where he helped build markets in six states and tripled the company’s revenue in its first year. As a senior-level executive, he has also helped put together successful sales teams for companies such as XO Communications and MCI.
Mr. Green leveraged 2020’s excellent reputation and his own track record to attract new clients from around the country. An avid promoter for 2020, he successfully recruited top talent to the organization, including a number of upper-level managers and vice presidents, to help further propel the company’s dynamic growth.
In August 2008, Mr. Green resigned as President to pursue other interests. He remains a shareholder and a member of the 2020 Board of Directors.
Steve Peters
As President of Business Development, Steve Peters is responsible for spearheading the growth and diversification of our lines of business. Steve joined 2020 Companies in February 2006 as Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Peters brings more than 12 years of telecommunications and direct marketing experience to 2020, with an emphasis in product marketing, channel marketing and process improvement. Most recently, he worked in a consulting role for a regional Bell operating company and a large cable provider, developing new sales and marketing distribution strategies. Prior to that, Steve spent 10 years with VarTec Telecom, Inc., and last held the position of Senior Vice President of Product and Channel Marketing.Besides working for a company that fosters a team-centered environment, Mr. Peters enjoys helping clients create cost-effective alternate sales channels to improve product distribution and market penetration. He holds a BBA in economics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
